Friends of Kibooba has been sending funds to the village
Friends of Kibooba has been sending funds to the village over the fall to keep our 400 feathered ladies fed and healthy. Floods in Uganda have caused the price of feed to increase dramatically. We are looking forward our feathered ladies earning their keep in the near future by producing eggs that will be for sale. Last month the village purchased and planted 40 fruit trees on the school property. We are working to increase the diversity of foods available to the children. In the new year, we will be starting our fundraising blitz, Feathers For The Future. Our goal is to raise enough money to send MBA's Without Borders to Kibooba to further develop the chicken business. We also plan to purchase an additional 1000 chicks to expand the business. An important step for fundraising has been joining the Shop And Support program. Check it out by clicking on the link on the right.
