In 2008 Friends of Kibooba partnered with Brighter Smiles Africa to improve the oral health of children in Kibooba village. A Vancouver-based dentist, Ellen Wu, worked with two UBC dental students Pariya Shahidi & Robyn Isaacs, partnering with local dental professionals to provide assessment of oral health (including general health measures of height and weight), dental education and basic dental care to the children of Kibooba school. They also arranged with the village to do a daily 'brush-in' program at the school and provided the children with toothbrushes. These are their pictures.
